Mise en Place has invited three trainers for this seminar. Three people who know the hospitality industry like the palm of their hand and have work in this sector for a long time. Charles van Goch, Richard Haeck and Maarten Wessels.

Charles van Goch

Gains his energy from speaking, motivating and inspiring people. He started his career at the Higher Hotel Management School in Maastricht and graduated in 1994. This is the year in which he contemplated and started the company Mise en Place.

In the last 15 years the Mise en Place Group has experienced a strong growth and is, with 8 sister companies, active through 34 offices spread over 6 countries and 3 continents. With an annual revenue of 40 million Euro, Mise en Place Group is one of the most innovating and leading companies in the hospitality industry. Charles is pure energy and is happy to share this with others; he provides trainings, lectures at Hotel management schools and lectures for several clubs. That is his way to de-stress.

Richard Haeck

“Make it work or make it work better”, that is the most important motto for Richard. Analyze an organization or situation, criticize and improve. As a manager in a variety of organizations, in 2004 he came to the conclusion that entrepreneurship is the solution for the fact that leadership was not handled well. Now he works towards helping organizations handling people, instead of people handling leadership. A main mutual factor being: the one who can share can also multiply”.

After the Higher Hotel Management school in Maastricht, where the internship in China was a very valuable learning experience, Richard gained much experience working with major temp agencies as Maison van den Boer (party catering) and as a management team member with one of the larger F&B organizations. Eventually in 2004 he started Staffable Payroll, a company which has grown in substantial size and wants to spread its wings across the entire world. Germany and The Netherlands are the first countries in which Staffable is present.

Richard personally uses different techniques such as Mind Mapping and Speed-reading. He is always working on enabling people to develop. The personal development of individuals is his satisfaction.

Maarten Wessels

imageMaarten Wessels graduated from the Higher Hotel Management School in Leeuwarden in 1998. Right after his graduation he was hired by L’invité Horeca Uitzendbureau, where, after holding positions of intermediary and branch manager, he became a trainer. In this position he was responsible for the training and education of both temps and employees of the organization. It is with this experience that Maarten is able to approach several topics from different perspectives during the training. During the seminar, Maarten will look through the eyes of the temp, the intermediary, but most important the employer! Who wants what? What are the isues, that is what it is all about!

After L’invité Maarten worked at Trainmark BV, the training company of Milo Berlijn. During this period (3 years) Maarten has gained much experience in providing training in the hospitality industry and synchronizing operational F&B teams. People aimed trainings formed the main subject.

Next to his work as practical teacher at the ROC Midden-Nederland at the BOL-Horeca school Maarten started Wessels Trainingen. During his work at the ROC, Maarten studied at the Hogeschool of Utrecht, faculty for social studies and graduated as a Bachelor in Education.
